Lois Fisher

Lois Fisher, age 88, passed away peacefully on August 24 at Sunrise Senior Living Facility in Hermosa Beach, where she had resided for the past five years. Throughout her life, Lois's grace and kindness endeared her to her friends, as it did also with her caregivers at Sunrise.

One of ten children, Lois was born in Illinois to German parents. She attended schools locally, graduating from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. Lois enjoyed a long and varied nursing career, practicing in Illinois, Colorado, and Northern and Southern California. In 1979, Lois married George Fisher, her beloved husband and worldwide travel partner for 40 years until his passing in May 2019. Lois is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many good friends. She was predeceased by all her siblings.

A funeral mass will be held at American Martyrs Church, Manhattan Beach, on September 12 at 10 a.m. The following day, September 13, a graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, at 12:30 p.m.
