Lloyd Oakley Miller, Jr.

Lloyd was born on September 27, 1925 in Los Angeles, California and passed away peacefully on December 15, 2012 at his home in Rolling Hills, California. Lloyd was one of three children born to Lloyd Sr. and Jane Miller. He is survived by his wife Mimi Hartwig Miller, sisters Betty Jane Graham and Barbara Williams, sons Lloyd Miller III and Stephen Miller, grandchildren Michelle Jimison and Lloyd Miller IV, plus great grandchildren Taylor, Kellen, Ryan, and Rylee. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Sr. and Jane Miller, his first wife Norma, his middle son William, and his second wife Elizabeth.
Lloyd graduated from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles in 1943. He entered the Army Air Corps during World War II and became a pilot flying the B29 Bombers. Later he attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in dentistry. He practiced dentistry for 39 years in Redondo Beach, California. Lloyd loved all sports. His greatest sports passions were golf and football. He belonged to the Palos Verdes Golf Club for 57 years, and had two holes in one during his golfing career. Many of his friends and relatives will remember Lloyd fondly as he was very generous and always willing to lend a helping hand to people in need.
