Lisa Marlene Sanchez

It is with utter shock and great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Lisa M. Sanchez on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
Lisa is preceded in death by her daughter, Geriann Tom Sun, and parents, Jose R. Sanchez (April 18, 1998) and Rosalie E. Pugliese Sanchez (June 29, 2009), and her grandparents, Giovanni Giuseppe and Raffaella D. Pugliese and Jose C. and Alicia G. Sanchez.

Lisa is survived by her longtime partner, Derek Tom Sun, children: Ryan Sanchez, Christopher Fromhold, and Jason Tom Sun, and sister, Renée Sanchez Durbin.

Lisa was a lifelong San Pedro resident, born and raised in the town. She weathered the storms of life and was immensely strong, mentally and spiritually. Lisa had an infectious smile and joyful attitude. Lisa NEVER complained. She enjoyed her life. Lisa’s greatest love and value was for her children and Derek. Her passing leaves an unfillable void and broken hearts. Lisa was an immeasurably loving, generous, and forgiving soul. God is love, and Lisa was an enormous reflection of His love!

Lisa, there are no goodbyes in Christ. Instead, BELOVED daughter, mother, sister, partner, friend, and human being, until we meet again…Lisa you are overwhelmingly loved in this life and in eternal life, and you are sorely missed every second of every minute of every day!
Eternal rest grant unto Lisa, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May Lisa’s soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, especially her family, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
A private mass and Celebration of Life will be held in her memory.
