Linda Valcourt Klingner

July 23, 1962 — February 15, 2022

Linda Valcourt Klingner, aged 59, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. Linda was born in Westport, Massachusetts on July 23, 1962. After graduating from Westport High School and earning her Bachelor’s in Accounting at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, she relocated to Southern California where she put down roots and had a family. She is survived by her two children, Julia and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Elaine Valcourt.

Linda was an avid humanitarian, traveler, and tennis player who loved trying new things and spending time with loved ones. Whether it was hiking by herself in the Sierra Nevadas, participating in a cultural exchange in Sweden, or visiting family and friends in New England, Linda was always ready for a new adventure. Her work ethic, charisma, warmth, and generosity left an impression on everyone that knew her, along with her famous homemade Limoncello. Even with her diminishing health, she made sure there was always a batch brewing. She was a one of a kind mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Besides her children, Linda is survived by her father and step-mother, Ron and Carol Valcourt, siblings, Matthew, Steven, Brian, and Lauren Valcourt, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As an incredibly proud member and past president of the San Pedro Rotary Club, Linda was passionate about community service and philanthropy. One of her most prolific passion projects was the Teacher Mini-Grant Program, created to defray the out-of-pocket costs for K-12 classroom teachers in San Pedro, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The San Pedro Rotary Foundation Linda Klingner Teacher Mini-Grant Program (instructions below). If you are unable to donate monetarily, the family asks that you donate your time to a cause that you are passionate about in her honor.

For those that wish to celebrate and pay their respects to Linda with her loved ones, you are invited to attend her Celebration of Life. Details and RSVP information can be found by visiting https://bit.ly/lmvk31922 .
