Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She suddenly, yet peacefully passed away on October 22, 2021. Her legacy will live on through her daughters, Christina and Melissa.
She was born on October 29, 1956 in Hollywood, California. She spent most of her childhood in Rancho Palos Verdes. Linda followed in her father’s footsteps and went to the University of Wyoming but decided to come back to Palos Verdes after college where she got married and had her two daughters. Early in her career, she had jobs in banking and later went on to property management helping her father Vartkes Barsam. Even during this, she was very active in her kids’ school lives and very supportive of their time-consuming tennis careers. She was an extremely hard worker and very smart, often teaching herself how to do things.
She enjoyed travelling and we were always amazed that no matter the type of trip, she did every activity in heels given her short 5-foot stature. But her sense of adventure mixed with her natural ability to make friends with anyone and the ‘it doesn’t hurt to ask’ attitude made trips with her incredibly fun and memorable. Linda also enjoyed playing tennis and had her close group of friends on and off the court.
Both of her daughters married and in addition to gaining two sons-in-law, she had four grandkids; Leighton, McCoy, Landon, and Laramie that she loved to spend time with and spoil as grandmothers do.
