Linda Giardini-McHatton (Thiedeman) passed away September 2015. She was born to the late
Clarence and Bobbie Jean Thiedeman November 1946 and was a long time resident of San Pedro, California. Linda held several important roles as mother, wife, mother-in-law, superintendent at California Water and decorating guru.
Linda will forever be remembered by her husband Bill, her children Gina (Cory) Wayland, Jason (Michelle) Giardini as well as her three brothers Bob (Cindy, Robert Jr.), Randy (Linda, Danell, Brian, Matt) and Scott Thiedeman along with her extended family and friends. She was filled with compassion and always expressed a genuine interest in others. She was known for her ease in frequent conversation with total strangers, her contagious smile, warm blue eyes that lit up when she saw you and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who have been changed because of her constant nurturing and love. Her signature gift of happiness, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.
Linda treasured her family, friends, eating breakfast any time of day, being a cheerleader for those she crossed paths with, playing the slot machines at any casino, decorating, bargain shopping, the perfect shade of lipstick, long girlie talks, gardening, adorable clothes, a great hair style, music, cooking, getting (and giving) great hugs, and for being an infamous shoe collector for which she may have never had an outfit to wear them with but they were just too cute not to bring them home.
She touched the lives of many people. She maintained her beautiful smile and continued to think of others all the way to the end.
A service will be held in her honour at Green Hills Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at
1pm.
