Lidubina Vega

Lidubina Heredia was born on April 12th 1937 in Purepero, Michoacan. She met her beloved husband, Jose Vega, in that small town on January of 1953. After courting for 10 months, they were married on November 21st and were happily together for 57 years.
As a wife and mother, Lidubina was always very responsible taking care of the children as her husband departed on and off to the United States in pursuit of a better life for their family.
During these hard times as she was left alone, Lidubina always made sure that the children were fed and presentable even with the modest income available at the time.
Finally by 1969, the entire family was reunited in the city of Gardena. Once in the United States Lidubina reconnected with old friends and made hundreds of new ones as she was very social. She was always willing to travel great distances to visit family and friends for happy occasions and in the time of need.
Lidubina will be greatly missed for many reasons, her smile, her wisdom, her cooking especially her beans and her beautiful singing. But most importantly, her daily prayers which helped keep her loved ones from harm.
Athough Lidubina's departure leaves a great void in the hearts of her family and of so many others whose lives she touched, we take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place reunited with her soul mate for an eternity.
