Laurent Mendoza

Laurent (Lorie) Mendoza, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on July 14,2019. Laurent was born on August 5, 1952 to Ernest and Anita Mendoza (both deceased) of San Pedro, California. She lived in San Pedro most of her life and worked as a Casual Longshoreman doing dock work at the Port of Los Angeles. Laurent enjoyed her arts and crafts, cooking for her family, and shopping with her mother. She especially loved hanging out and traveling with her family and friends.

Laurent was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Anita Mendoza. She is survived by her only child, Liza Mendoza (Adam); grandchildren, Christian Mendoza and Taylor McGrath; sisters, Patricia Macias and Irene Rodriguez; brother, Ernie Mendoza Jr.; nephews and nieces, Michael E. (Patricia), Yolanda M., Fernando M. Jr. (Melissa), Anthony R. (Vanessa), Nicolas R. (Evelis), Kristen A. (Hector), Jesse M. (Sarah), Emmanuel M. (Maggie), and Joshua M. (Maria); great nephews and nieces, Michael Jr., Mathew, Jonathan, Lexi, Jesse L. Jr., Joseph L., Ezekiel L., Zechariah, Vivianna, Joseph R., Noah, Hector Jr., Melinda, Ezekiel M., Emerie, Emma, Clarissa, and Layla; and many more extended family members.

The family would like to acknowledge the great love and care she received from the nursing staff at Heritage Rehabilitation Center and the care she received from the compassionate Vitas Hospice care team. Thank you!

A Visitation will be held 4:30PM to 8:30PM on August 11, 2019 at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel and a funeral ceremony will be held 11:30AM on August 12, 2019 at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
