Larry James Robertson

Larry Robertson was born September 1, 1947 to Jim and Mary Robertson in San Pedro where he spent his entire life. He attended Bandini Street School, Dana and graduated from San Pedro High School summer 65'. Larry then attended Harbor Community college in the printing field. After getting his AA he went to work for the San Pedro News pilot then to a Copley paper in Monrovia finishing his career as a printing foreman for the Daily Breeze. In all he spent over 30+ years working for the Copley Paper. Larry was very active in his beloved San Pedro, especially with the San Pedro high school booster club. You would find Larry Mr. 50-50 at all the football games selling the tickets a job he took over from his dad Jim Robertson after his passing who had started the tradition. Larry sold the tickets for 24 years raising money for the athletes of San Pedro High School. He and his wife Faye also belonged and were active in the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club. He was also active in the San Pedro harbor bocce ball tournaments. Larry is survived by his wife Faye Robertson, sister Linda Cherney and Brother-in law Richard Cherney, brother-in-law Joe Scollo, sister in Law Lynn Scollo, Daughter Dion Phillips and family, many nieces nephews, loving family and wonder friends.
