Kyung An

December 28, 1949 — December 30, 2021

In remembrance of our devoted father, Kyung Mook An, who passed into the loving arms of our God on December 30, 2021, at the age of 72. He was born on March 5, 1947 in Kyung Book Sang Joo, South Korea. In 1977, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and two children. During his time in Los Angeles, he attended Eastern Presbyterian Church until he moved to the South Bay in the 1980's. He then became an active member of Torrance First Presbyterian Church where he served as a choir member and eventually a deacon. He supported Grace Korean Church of Anaheim and helped missionaries in Mexico and Russia. He enjoyed traveling to the Middle East, Russia, Nepal, and Canada.

Kyung Mook An found work as a painter's assistant for a few months before starting his own business as a janitor. He maintained his janitorial business for 40 years, and would later invest in real estate. He was an acute businessman who worked tirelessly and faithfully to give his family a better life in this great country. He was known by the people who worked for him as generous, compassionate, and kind. He is survived by his wife, Hong Ja, daughter, Eun Young, son, Daniel, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Justin. He will be dearly missed by the people who knew him.

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
