Kyriakoula Abazis

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother Kyriakoula (Kay) Abazis joined her son in heaven on March 5, 2016 in San Pedro, CA. Kyriakoula was born on Sept. 2, 1951 in Kardamyla, Chios-Greece to Michael and Evangelia Kountouroudas. She was the fourth of five children. She is survived by her husband John, her children Michael & Erica Abazis, Maria & Tony Franks and her six grandchildren, siblings, nieces & nephews.
She was raised in Greece and moved to the U.S. in 1968. She lived in CA for 44 years. She dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a remarkable woman. She warmed our hearts with her smile. She constantly just gave of herself. She spent her time enjoying all of her grandchildren. Her love and kindness touched the lives of everyone around her. You will be forever in our hearts. Services will be held on March 10, 2016 at 7:00-9:00pm and March 11, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 722 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. The burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a family in need or the charity of your choice.
