Kum Ja Kim is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kyung Ho “Kenneth” Kim, daughters Jean (Mike) and Jane (Paul) , grandchildren Bryan, William, Kaetlyn, and Nicole. She was the youngest of eight siblings, three brothers and four sisters.
Kenneth and Kum Ja met and started their lives together in 1967 in Seoul, Korea. In 1973 they immigrated from Korea to the US with their two young daughters. They spent 3 years in Yonkers, New York before settling in Los Angeles, California.
Kum Ja was a devoted wife and mother who practiced Nichiren Buddhism and chanted Nam-myoho-renge-kyo for 45 years. Her life motto was never complain, appreciate everything, and always be positive.
