Kim “Kimmie” Ann Muller (Langner), caring mother and grandma, passed away on October 28, 2023 in Oklahoma at the age of 62. She was surrounded by Justine, Makaila, Michelle, Mike and Randall, who all sang to her, told her stories, rubbed her forehead and held her hand. Kim’s passing followed a six month battle to recover after suffering an injury that led to a hemorrhagic stroke in April 2023. She resided in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Kim was born on September 2, 1961, in Torrance, California, to the late Donna Marcella Redmond (Pratt) and Lawrence Langner Jr. Most of Kim’s life was spent in California, where she was known for her unwavering strength, kindness, and compassionate nature, as well as her creative spirit and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Justine and Makaila; son-in-law, “Mikey”; her grandchildren, Declan and Isla; her stepdad, Ed; her siblings, Angela, Lawrence and Linda; her nieces, Kristin, Michelle (who was like a daughter) and Wendy; her nephews, David, Lawrence II and Richard; her long time friends, Bob, Corrina and Linda; and her partner. Her dogs, Austin and Lexi, were loyal companions who brought her comfort and joy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna; father, Lawrence; and her sister, Karen.
Kim received her primary education at Harbor City Christian School and later pursued her passion for beauty by attending Flavio Beauty College, where she honed her skills and nurtured her creative talents. She loved the holidays and was passionate about animals, painting and crafting, which brought her immense joy throughout her life.
Kim was known for her involvement in the community. She was a member of the Lomita Kiwanis Club for most of her adult life. Her commitment to running the Kid Print booth at Lomita Kiwanis Club’s annual pancake breakfast helped countless parents fingerprint their children. As we know, fingerprinting your children is of extreme importance should they ever go missing.
Please join us in honoring and remembering Kim's life. She will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
