Kevin Stratton was born on January 12, 1956 to J. & Minnetta Stratton in Stillwater, OK. He attended Donart High School, Oklahoma State University, and auto and aircraft maintenance repair schools. He worked for Phillips66 in OK during the oil boom years of the 70's. He moved to Southern CA, following his older brother Michael Stratton who was an internist at the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks. Kevin worked for 22 years in the oil refinery industry for Conoco Phillips and retired in 2017. He married Romy Mercado in 2004, and they traveled the highways and byways of the U.S. and Canada.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing, tinkering with his car, and spending time with his pups. During the Pandemic, he attempted to learn to play the guitar and dabbled in carpentry. In his younger days, he liked riding motorcycles/ATVs and fishing. He also obtained his pilot's license, and for a brief time flew small aircraft in Oklahoma. That ceased due to the crowded skies of So. California. Kevin was the family's "Mr. Fix It" as he could be relied on to help resolve household maintenance issues and computer problems.
He is pre deceased by his parents and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, Romy, step-son, Michael Espinoza, a large loving extended family, and his pups, Molly & Kira.
