Kathryn M. Grace

Kathryn, "Kaye" the daughter of Frank and Lyvonne Edrich, was born September 30, 1929 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and passed away quietly on Sunday, January 18, 2015 after a short battle with Cancer. She met and fell in love with John "Jack" Grace and married in 1948. Kaye was part of a coffee group that met regularly at Torrance Bakery. They were all Moms of kids who attended St. Lawrence Martyr School back in the 70's. Although the group became smaller through the years, they still met when they could. She enjoyed meeting with her friends Sheila, Phylis and Florence. She also enjoyed her trips back to the mid-west to visit family and traveling to Las Vegas, Bullhead City and Pala. Kaye's house was filled with family all the time. Many nieces and nephews who came to California, to start their new adventures, lived with Jack and Kaye. Kaye was preceeded in death by John "Jack," her loving husband; their daughter Kathleen Funk and their children who passed shortly after birth, John Duane, Karen Joann, Stephen Christopher and Mary Margaret; her siblings, Margaret (Peggy) Schultz, Virginia Peterson, Mary Common and John (Jackie) Edrich Kaye is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jon) Ross; seven grandchildren, Brian (Annette) Funk, Joseph (Stacey) Funk, Amanda Gomez, Jessica Gomez, Adam Gomez, Ammirelle Ross and Cody Ross; three great-grandchildren, Kathleen, Clare and Abigail; her brother-in-law, James (Mary Ann) Grace and sister-in-law, Mary (Cecil) Provence as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The Rosary will be held Friday, January 23rd at 9:30 AM at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance. The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment immediatelty follwing at Green Hills Memorial Park.
