Kathleen Shine

Kathleen Shine (50), born November 22, 1963 peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2014. She was born and raised in Gardena CA, then Carson CA and then back to Gardena! Kathleen loved Chinese food, her son Michael (Judy), grandchildren Michael, Jonny Mack and Benjamin Brian! Another one of her favorite things was her cat whom she named "Brat" (which was her nickname). Kathleen loved to read and also try to garden! One of the best things that ever happened to Kathleen was the birth of her son Michael. She loved him dearly. Kathleen had many friends and she also had the ability to carry on a conversation with people even when she didn't even know them! Oh and you know Kathleen, she could be LOUD and OBNOXIOUS Lol!! Kathleen will always be remembered as someone who beat the odds more than once (many times)! She was a real trooper! Her friends at her meetings would always say what an inspiration she is or was to them! She will always be my brat (from her sister Nancy), a nickname I gave her when she was little! If I didn't take her with me (wherever I went) when she was young she would have a tantrum! She will always be daddy's little girl (Arthur Shine). Kathleen lived life with passion and on her terms. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and is safe in His Everlasting Arms. She was loved dearly by her church family (Vermont Avenue Baptist Church) Kathleen is lovingly reunited with her loving mother Ethel Shine in Eternity. She was a precious and loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend! Kathleen was dearly loved, will always be remembered and will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 at Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, 23325 S. Vermont Avenue, Torrance
