Kathleen was born and raised on Lulu Island on the Fraser River in British Columbia Canada. Her beloved husband of 50 years, Russell, was on shore leave (Navy) when they met. They wrote letters while he was at war, fell in love and married. They eventually had three children, Barry, Patricia and Julie. They raised their family in Rolling Hills Estates until retirement in Santa Barbara and Oceanside. Barry, Russell and Julie predeceased her. Kathleen was an avid tennis player, and was admired by all for her wonderful cooking skills and the beautiful homes she decorated. She was into healthful/organic eating before it was popular, and was often teased about the"weird" foods she prepared and all vitamins she took. All but the last two months of her life were wonderful! She lived to be 98.5 years old. Perhaps it paid off in the end. Wednesday, July 17th at 12:30 we will celebrate her life with a graveside ceremony
