Karen Schneider, age 66, of Lomita, passed away on May 20th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Karen was born in Denver, CO and grew up in Torrance, CA where she graduated from West High in 1968 and earned a Degree at El Camino. She was the eldest daughter of the late Loren and Ruth Scheele.
Preceded in death by her sister Diane Jenkins, Karen is survived by her children, Emily (Michael) Havrilchak and John (Melissa) Schneider along with four grandsons, Jacob, Samuel, Clayton, and Liam. Her sister Linda (Ed) Portune also survives her. Karen also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends. Karen was a loving mother and Nana and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and traveling.
Memorial services will be held at Green Hills Chapel on Saturday, June 10th at 11:30am. Reception immediately following at her home in Lomita. Private burial in Green Hills Memorial Park.
