In Loving Memory of Karen L. Muñoz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen L. Muñoz, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on December 26, 2024, at the age of 69. Born in Ventura County, Karen spent her childhood in San Pedro, California, and her adult life in Wilmington California a place she called home for most of her life.
Karen is survived by her devoted partner, Joe Centeno; her three children, Tammy Guevara (Danny Guevara), Ruben "Porky" Muñoz (Jesus Garcia), and Tina Lopez (Pete Lopez); her ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her father, Dale Cullum; her sister, Susan Harrington; and her brother, Joe Cullum. Additionally, Karen held a special place in her heart for her stepchildren, Patsy Centeno and Joey Centeno, along with their children and grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Karen was dedicated to her family, first as a homemaker and later as a valued employee of Kaiser Permanente, where she worked for 28 years before retiring. Her greatest joy was spending time with loved ones, creating cherished memories with family and friends, car club dances, and car shows. Karen also enjoyed trips to the casino and Laughlin, where her radiant personality and zest for life touched everyone, she met.

A celebration of Karen’s life will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park on:
Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:30 AM
Following the service, a reception at 2:30pm will be held at:

Karen’s love, laughter, and indomitable spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
