Julia Grageda Navarrette

August 16, 1950 — December 22, 2024

Julia Coronado Grageda Navarrette was called to be with the Lord on December 22, 2024 at the age of 74. She was born in Arizona but was raised in San Pedro with her 5 brothers Will, Eddie, Pete, Herb, Manuel, and 2 sisters Angie and Patty. She was a loving mother, Nani, sister, and friend.She was a devoted Catholic who loved to travel. She always made it a point to visit historic churches during her travels. She has been to the Vatican , Israel, and many other churches in Spain , France , and Mexico . Julia had multiple degrees in education. She was a proud teacher and union member for 30 years, mostly spent at Barton Hill Elementary . Toward the end of her career she taught special ed. She is preceded in death by her oldest son David. She is survived by her children Julia Vina, Sara, Jacob, and Matthew. She has 7 grandchildren John, Cece, Frankie, Silvia, Olivia , Amora and Zion . Julia was also a great grandmother to Achilles and John Manuel IV. She was a warm friend to many and generous giver to charities. Her faith kept her strong through her long battle with cancer for 12 years. She managed to stay positive to the end. We love you and you will be missed deeply.
