Julee Boulos

February 8, 1933 — March 21, 2025

Julee Boulos, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 92 on Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her adoring children. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled. A woman of unwavering love and strength, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Born in Kfarchima, Lebanon, on February 8, 1933, to Fares and Farida Wehbe, Julee was the youngest of six children.
A quiet yet resilient force, she began her career in education, working for private institutions in the heart of Lebanon. Her dedication and strong moral character quickly earned her a reputation as a woman of strength and honor. She took immense pride in teaching students of all ages and was sought after for her exceptional work ethic. Her reputation even reached the Royal Family of Qatar, who invited her to serve as a private tutor, leading her to travel for her work.
Her life took a new turn when she met Mike Boulos. They married in 1964 in Lebanon, and Julee transitioned from a teaching career to becoming a devoted full-time wife and mother. In just six years, she gave birth to six children, pouring her heart and soul into creating a loving and nurturing home for them. She worked tirelessly, ensuring their happiness and well-being.
In 1975, as civil war erupted in Lebanon, Julee and Mike made the difficult decision to uproot their family, seeking a better future for their children. With a heavy heart, Julee bid farewell to her mother, siblings, and homeland, embarking on a journey across three continents with six children under the age of nine. They finally arrived in Los Angeles, California, where she would spend the next fifty years building a life of love, security, and warmth for her family.
Julee was the heart of every gathering. She welcomed family and friends with open arms, hosting with unmatched generosity and never once complained. Her home was a haven, filled with the aroma of her exceptional cooking and the warmth of her hospitality. She had a remarkable ability to make strangers feel like family, embodying the true essence of selflessness and devotion. She belonged to a generation of women who placed family above all else, embracing her role with unwavering love and dedication.
Until her final days, she remained a pillar of kindness, grace, and compassion. She touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Family and friends remember her as a woman with a kind heart and a sweet soul, someone who radiated genuine love. As one family member beautifully put it, “The world had Mother Teresa, but our family had Mother Julee.”
Julee is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Boulos, her parents, Fares and Farida Wehbe, her five siblings: Tanous, Adib, Labib, Tamer, and Zeina, and grandson Sanni Wehbe Jr.
She is survived by her loving children: Munir, Mohana (Sanni Wehbe), Manal, Madonna (Said Deek), Mokhlis (Stephanie), and Maher Boulos.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Matthew Wehbe (Jennah), Sofia Deek, Athena Boulos, and Mikey Boulos, as well as her great-granddaughter Lana Wehbe. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Her legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will live on in the lives of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family and all who were touched by her kindness.
