Judith Kale Lacer

June 17, 1937 — October 30, 2023

Judith Lacer, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023, at the age of 86, with her daughters by her side. She was born on June 17, 1937, in LaPorte, Indiana.

Judith is survived by her brother, Stephen Kale; daughters, Ann Mazuk (Steve) and Amelia Bacher; one grandson and two granddaughters. Her three grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lacer, and her parents, Margaret and Harold Kale.

Judith graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Indiana University, where she was a proud member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She dedicated her life to running the Palos Verdes Unified School District PTA's Costume Closet, where she helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local schools. The Costume Closet provided high-quality costumes for various school programs, including the drama program, 5th-grade Colonial Days, and Halloween costume rentals. Judith's work at the Costume Closet attracted visitors from all over the South Bay.

Judith was known for her active involvement in the community. She was a devoted PTA mom, a supportive band parent mom, and an inspiring Girl Scout leader. Her exceptional commitment to the Costume Closet earned her the esteemed PTA Golden Oak Service Award.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Judith's life on Monday, November 13, at 11:00 am at the Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, 26438 Crenshaw Blvd , Rolling Hills Estates, CA.
