Juanita Smith

SMITH, Juanita M. (88) Born in Torrance, California. Passed away peacefully on June 6, 2018. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack of 48 years and her daughter, Sandra Lea Mullen. Juanita is survived by her son, Michael(Janell Weeks) Smith; grandson, Justin Weeks; son-in-law, Harold Mullen. Also survived by many other family members and her Yorkshire Terrier Cindy whom she loved deeply. Partnered with her Husband Jack Smith in pioneering one of the first State Farm agencies in 1951 in old Torrance and surrounding South Bay area for 51 years. She enjoyed square dancing, bridge and the theatre, especially bridge after Jacks passing in 2007. Would often play daily. Was real excited on the master points. Traveled extensively throughout Mexico in the 70’s, Russia and Europe in the 80’s and Tibet and China in the 90’s. Moved in July of 2017 to McMinnville Oregon from the South bay to be closer with son Michael. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 10:00 AM at Green Hills Historic Church.
