Juanita Garcia Duarte

Juanita “Janie” Duarte passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2024, at the age of 85.

She was born on August 29th, 1938, in Concepcion Texas and was a long-time resident of Torrance Ca.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Garcia, Trinidad Vera Garcia, her sisters Celia Mata, Aminta Peña, Magdalena Huerta, Rumalda Mata, and her brother Norberto V. Garcia.

She is survived by her husband Alberto Duarte of 67 years, brother Jesus Manuel Garcia (Alma), daughters Sylvia Tanori (Chuck), Diana Pisano (George), Gloria Brown (Dennis) and Margie Mora (Scott), grandchildren, Anthony (RIP), Brandon, Rachel, Angela, Marissa, Anthony, Brianna and great grandchildren, Ella, Julian, Mia, Benjamin and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Monday, February 12th, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:30pm with the Rosary beginning at 7pm at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in RPV.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, at 11:30 am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with the burial following immediately after at Janie’s final resting place.
