Jr "Jay" Brock

Beloved husband, father and grandfather JR Brock, of Huntington Beach, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012.
He was born October 29, 1924 in Carterville IL. JR served with distinction as a C-47 pilot in World War II, earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from USC and a master's degree from West Coast University, and worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry for many years, retiring from Magnavox Research Labs in 1991.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Helen Brock, and by his children Stephen Brock (Murray UT), Merry Drulias (Camarillo), Nicholas Laskaris (deceased), Eve Bennett (Huntington Beach) and Chris Laskaris (Hamburg, Germany), and by his nine adored grandchildren - Shauna, Jay, Eleni, Alexander, Arianna, Jordan, Zachary, Deanjames, and Matthew.
Memorial service at 6:00 PM Wednesday December 19 at Green Hills Mortuary, Rancho Palos Verdes.
Funeral service at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 20 at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church, 722 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Katherine's will be gratefully appreciated.
