Joyce Edna Tammen

In loving memory of Joyce Edna Tammen: she was born October 19, 1932 in Rochester New York to Edna and Theodore Hill and lost her battle to Parkinson's disease March 13, 2013. She was raised in Ohio and attended art school in Boston, MA in 1951. She became a resident of San Pedro in June of 1962 where she raised her three children. Joyce loved living in South Shores where she had a beautiful view of the ocean from the comfort of her home. The close proximity of the theater, museums, and constant cultural events only enriched her love of the arts. She had an abundance of love that was unrepeatable for her family investing much of her love in the upbringing of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The last of her years she spent enjoying her gardening, yoga at the YMC, and traveling. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn, three children, Christine, David, Eric (Debbie), two grandchildren, Brian, Anastasia and three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ashley, and Brian. Come join the family in a celebration of her life to say farewell from 3pm to 8pm. Services will be held March 20 at 6pm at Green Hills Mortuary.
