Joyce Elaine Cross

Joyce was born on March 15, 1927 on a family farm in South Dakota and passed away Jan 3, 2012 in Torrance, CA. She had four sisters and a brother. Joyce lived the quintessential Midwestern farm life. Her favorite times were going with the family to card parties and family gatherings. An avid reader and good student she was her class Valedictorian.
She married Don Cross in August 1946, and they moved to CA in 1963. They were married for 53 years, until his passing in 1999. Now she is reunited with him. They had three children and six grandchildren.
After her 3 children had graduated high school, Joyce returned to college and received a Bachelors degree from USC. She then spent 20 years working for the U.S. Government's Office of Personnel Management.
Joyce was compassionate and was involved in several humanitarian programs.
Joyce lived a long and successful life, and was easy to please, but nothing pleased her more than spending time with her family.

Joyce's credo was Family, Integrity, and Education.

Services for Joyce will be held on Monday January 9, at 1:00 PM.
