Josephine Manqueros

Josephine Manqueros, of Rancho Palos Verdes, 90, passed away July 23rd, 2024 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Josephine was born July 2nd, 1934 in Mogollon, New Mexico to Sylvester and Adela Gonzales (ne’e Bailón). She graduated from San Pedro High School, and quickly proceeded to dental school to receive her certificate as a Registered Dental Assistant. While working in her chosen field, she married her High School Sweetheart and partner of almost 62 years in marriage, Joseph Manqueros Sr. While passionate about her work in the dental profession, the call to begin a family was strong, and she began to build her legacy as a Mother. She enjoyed a lifelong dedication to quilting, crafts, reading, travel, and most of all, spending time with her family. Josephine is survived by her sibling Rollie Diaz, her two Daughters Susan Naeve of Dallas, and Diane Manqueros of Long Beach, her three Son's and their spouses Joseph Manqueros Jr and Serina Manqueros, Steven and Adriana Manqueros of Rancho Palos Verdes, and Kenneth and Kara Manqueros of San Diego, her Grandchildren Phillip Hanna, James Hanna, Katie Naeve, Christopher Naeve, Ashley Wixom, Robert Estes, Stephanie Anderson, Matthew Manqueros, Tyler Manqueros, Meghan Manqueros, and great grandchildren Mia, Meadow, Jordan, Elgin, and Caprice.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Adela, as well as her siblings, Robert Gonzales, Dora Beebe, Lily Dominguez, Caroline Gonzalez, and Frank Carvajal, The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Torrance Memorial Hospital and the support that the physicians and nurses provided during her final days.
