Joseph Lopez Rodriguez

Joseph “Joe” Rodriguez, 40, passed away on March 5, 2019 at his home in San Pedro, California.

He is survived by his lifelong partner Tony, father Daniel, brother Danny, sisters Eva and April, sister-in-laws Joanna and Suzanne, grandmother Mary, nephews Ian and Levin, and niece Alexia. He is predeceased by his mother Dolores and grandmother Barbara.

Joseph was born on September 19, 1978 in Bellflower, California to Daniel and Dolores Rodriguez. The second oldest of four siblings, he was always known to be in close contact with all of his relatives. Rarely missing a family event, Joseph never missed an opportunity to spend time with the people he cherished the most. He was well known for being the first one at a party, last one to leave, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His selfless love was inspiring and anyone who knew him can tell you how amazing of a person he truly was.

Joseph was known for his radiant smile and ability to make each and every person he knew feel special and loved. He devoted his life to caring for his dogs Maymers, Gypsy, Shadow, and most recently a new puppy he named Sade. His passion for taking pictures and videos captured every moment possible in his life and in the lives of others. Through this, we are now left with endless memories of the special times we shared with him.

A viewing service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. A Celebration of Life memorial service will follow the next day, Saturday, March 23 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. After the memorial, family and friends are invited to a lunch reception at the home of Joseph and Tony (760 W 12th St, San Pedro, 90731).
