Joseph T. Park, beloved husband and father died unexpectedly on October 28, 2023 at the age of 54 at his home in Torrance, California.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Gen-na Park; his amazing children, Madeleine “Maddie” Hope and Emmaleine “Emma” Grace; and his dog, Loki; his mother, Ok Ryung Park; and his sister, Caren Kim. He is predeceased by his father, Han Taek Park; and his brother, Steve Park.
Joseph was born in Seoul, Korea on April 3, 1969 to Han Taek and Ok Ryung Park. He graduated from University of Southern California in 2004 with master’s degree in business administration. He matriculated from University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He worked at Commercial Bank of Korea as an assistant vice-president and loan officer and moved to Total Companies Inc as a senior vice-president and real estate portfolio manager. On March 28, 1998, he married Gen-na, his first love. On December 4, 2003 and June 7, 2007, he welcomed his two beautiful daughters, who were the most important part of his life.
Joseph was a devoted husband and father, avid golfer, and day trader. He enjoyed spending time with his family and supporting his daughters in their athletic activities. Joseph was kind, supportive, patient, and gentle soul who will go out of his way to greet you if he sees you. He was an amazing dad who did things that other dads would normally not do. Joseph was an amazing husband who supported his wife unconditionally in every aspect of life. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
The memorial and funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm on November 17, 2023 at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
