Joseph Wilson Crawford, Sr.

Joseph Wilson Crawford, Sr., the son of Wiley and Irene Crawford, passed away on July 8, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born on February 10, 1933 in Cullowhee, North Carolina, served proudly in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, and was a longtime resident of Long Beach, California. He is preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Crawford, son, Edward Andres, siblings, Mable Crawford, Harold Crawford, Archie Crawford, Gean Painter, Hilda Pasour, and is survived by his children, Irene Gonzalez, Joseph (Pam) Crawford, Jr., Leilani (Ross) Keller, Megan (Greg) Bilson, Esther "Ann" Young, Isaac Andres, 14 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, and sister, Mary Deitz. A visitation will be held 9am - 1pm at Green Hills Mortuary on Friday, July 17th followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park at 2pm.

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
