John Reid

John Jason Reid, 85 years of age passed away in his home surrounded by his family on june 30th, 2019.

Born in Detroit Michigan on January 1, 1934 he was proud to be named the first baby born into the new year. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Gideons International Society. He found great joy on Friday mornings at his mens fellowship breakfast at Journey of Faith and the last Tuesday of the month at breakfast with the firefighters.

John had a passion for travel, adventerous food, God, family, serving others and missions. His mission field reached from as far as Taiwan due to his deep love for the people of Taiwan and as near as Trader Joe’s. He is survivied by his wife Edith Reid, two daughaters, five grandchildren and two great grand children. He was one of seven children, survived by his two younger sisters. A celebration of life will be held at Seacoast Church Saturday July 6th at 10:30am. Reception to follow, 100 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
