John Carlos Palaziol (Cachi) was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was born on September 1st, 1944. He peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side at his home at the age of 80 on February 1st, 2025 in San Pedro, California from fighting brain cancer for over two years.
His parents, Antonio and Angela Palaziol with his brothers, Hector and Jorge Palaziol preceded him in death.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rosemarie Palaziol and his two daughters Yesenia (Eric) Alpert and his little angel Erikita Palaziol. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Beyonce Egera, his one and only granddaughter Julianna Alpert, and his former wife Maria Soccoro Fernandez.
In addition, he is surrounded with numerous sisters/brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
He arrived from Argentina at age 16 in 1960 and graduated from San Pedro High School in 1964. He was drafted into the army in 1966 where he did two tours of duty in Vietnam and was promoted to Junior Sergeant (SP5). When he returned home, he went to work as a Head Manager at Cavanaugh Machine Works in Long Beach for 41 years. He was very talented and well-crafted at his profession.
He enjoyed traveling all over the world including the Philippines, Argentina, and Hawaii. He loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed the music of opera. His favorite singer was Luciano Pavarotti.
He was a considerate, selfless, honest, and loving man. Our love for him is beyond words. He will be significantly missed and will be in our everlasting prayers.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 from 4-8pm.
The funeral mass will be on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at 2pm.
Both services will be held at Green Hills in Rancho Palos Verdes.
