John Marion Green

John Marion Green passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home in Wilmington. A lifelong resident of Wilmington he served in the U. S. Army then went to work for LAUSD as a gardener and then as a tree surgeon. After an injury to this shoulder he had to quit LAUSD. He and his girls lived with his mother and father. After the death of his father, William Leo Green he continued living with his mother, Marian Montierth Green. As her health declined he spent several years taking care of her. He would spend his spare time playing darts with his friends, working around the house, refurbishing furniture and working with wood. He suffered from migraines, diabetes, seizures and two strokes. He had a very special place in his heart for his girls and loved them tremendously. He had many life long friends and family who will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jonathan Deforest Green, Aug 28, 1977 - Nov 21, 2001; Brother, William Lee Green Dec 19, 1944 - April 6, 2016. He is survived by three daughters, Heather Reaume, Jasmine Green, and Shoshana Green; two grandchildren with another grandson on its way; siblings Pam Duimstra of Apple Valley, Karen Guisler of Haley, Idaho, Kathleen Garrett of Harbor City, Gary Green of West Mifflin, PA, Dennis Green of Huntington Beach, and Cherie White of Wilmington.
