Known to friends and family as Johnny passed away peacefully in his home, March 27, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born to Nora and John C. Fellows Sr. in Los Angeles, Ca. on November 21, 1934. He served in the US Navy and was in the grocery business for over 30 years. He was in Management for 8 years and a member of the Retail Clerks Union for 23 years. He grew up around music and was a Violinist with the Los Angeles City Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra. After retirement he discovered a true love for the Banjo, took lessons, and played in the San Grabriel Valley Ole Tyme Banjo Band and the San Fernando Valley Banjo Band. He also decided it was time to further his education. He took Computor classes to keep up with the times, and Wood Turning classes to satisfy the artist in him. He handcrafted several beautiful pens, pencils, wine stoppers and an array of other items during his retirement. He was a youngest sibling to four sisters and a brother, a loving father to four children, and a faithful and loving husband for 55 years. He is predeceased by his brother Richard Fellows, sisters Arline Rankin and Norine Myers, and his daughter Cheryl Ann Melvin. He is survived by his wife Violet V. Fellows, and their dog Noni, son Mark C. Fellows, daughter Sandra L. Fellows, daughter and husband Kelly & James Patterson, sister Audrey Baker Adams, sister Florine Bradley, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, with an additional 2 on the way. He was a Favorite Uncle to some a True Friend to many, and maintained his childhood friendships. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
