John passed away peacefully on the morning of November 5, 2015, in his home in Mission Viejo, where he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Elaine Mae Bovee. John was 75.
John, who was an excellent skier and world traveler, was educated in Europe and the United States. He was also an award winning marathon runner and a widely respected trial lawyer. He was a true gentleman.
He was admitted to the California bar in January of 1966, and he was a long time member of the Orange County Public Defender's Office. John's trial clients included capital defendants and he represented Edward Alloway, a famous multiple murder defendant for several years.
John received the coveted "Warrior" award from the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College.
John was a Master Bencher member of the Robert A. Banyard Inn of Court. He will be dearly missed.
