John "Cico" Antolos

John (Ivan) Antolos, better known as “Ćićo” to his family and friends, passed away at home on July 11 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 12, 1943 in Zablace, Croatia. He immigrated to the US in 1967, settling in San Pedro, CA where he worked as a commercial fisherman for the next two decades. Cico was known for his generous spirit and his cooking. He was happiest when making Saturday BBQs and holiday meals, and surrounded by his family at the dinner table. Cico is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kata, his son John (Brittany) Antolos and daughter Michelle (Jason) Bullock, his precious grandchildren Niko, Aleks, Ivan, Bennett, Logan and Aria, as well as sisters Marija and Vedrana of New York and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members in the US and “the old country”. Visitation will be held at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 20 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Green Hills Chapel on Saturday July 21 at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you make donations to the American Cancer Society.
