Jocelyn Lubos Villanueva, a fearless and cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 53, surrounded by family and friends. Born in the Philippines on July 27, 1971, she led a life filled with cherished connections, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
After moving to Los Angeles in the 1980’s, Jocelyn began her career in public service faithfully serving her country for over 25 years with integrity and dedication.
Jocelyn is survived by her husband, Manny and their son, Jonah, who is the light of their life. Together they enjoyed fishing, hiking, biking, and worshipping. Along with being a devout member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro, she loved traveling, gardening and culinary adventures. She lived life to the fullest, finding joy in every moment and treasuring the time she spent with her family, friends, and colleagues. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on June 13, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park.
Mass service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on June 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m
