Joanie Marie Treat

Joanie Marie Treat passed away peacefully on July 9th 2024 surrounded by her husband Don, son David, daughter Jenn, her sister Sandy and brother-in-law Terry while at a local hospital.

Joanie was born in Los Angeles in April 1954. She had recently celebrated her 70th Birthday this past April. Joanie was a lifelong resident of the South Bay and attended many local schools in the South Bay area.

Joanie was currently retired and previously worked at El Camino College assisting special needs students with reading, writing and adaptive computer skills for nearly twenty years. Joanie and Don traveled extensively after their retirement.

Joanie was married to the love of her life, Don, who is also retired and worked at El Camino College for 40 years. Don is also a retired veteran of the US Army and Army National Guard. Joanie and Don were married for 46 years and had two children Jennifer and David.

Joanie was predeceased by her parents, Edwin Eugene Pinkston and Betty Marie Pinkston-Johnson also interned at Green Hills.

Memorial Services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel; 27501 S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at 9:00am. Family will be available at 8:30am before the services begin and after the Graveside services conclude.
