Joan Lucille Wickham was born March 13th 1926. She died peacefully on May 29th 2015, surrounded by family and friends.
Joan was born in Streator, Illinois to Edna and Fred Ryan. She grew up in Streator with her twin Sister, Jean and older Sister, Betty.
Joan graduated from the University of Illinois and then got her dream job as a stewardess for United Airlines. The stewardess job took her to Los Angeles where she met her Husband, John Wickham on the beach in Hermosa.
The two were married on March 8th 1950 and later had two Children, John and Marie.
Joan embraced life and loved playing tennis, taking hikes, playing bridge, going antiquing, traveling, decorating and entertaining.
Most of all, Joan loved caring for others. She loved people and adored entertaining them; Her home was always a warm and welcoming place.
Joan is predeceased by her loving Husband, John and her two Sisters, Betty and Jean.
She is survived by her Son John, San Francisco, CA and her Daughter, Marie, Ney York, New York.
A Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd 2015 at 1:00pm at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
