Born in Van Nuys, CA,. When he was a young boy his parents were told he was not going to live long due to a heart condition. His father decided it was time to take him to Japan to meet the rest of his family. After they returned to Japan the war broke out keeping them in Japan for the remainder of the war. Soon after the war was over Jimmie returned to the US.
A resident of Las Vegas for a couple years after marriage, he then brought the family to Torrance where he lived the remainder of his days. Jimmie worked for several companies ending his career at Northrop as a draftsman. After retirement from Northrop Jimmie’s life didn’t slow down. He and his wife entered the arena of property management until well into their 80’s. He also was an avid gardener.
He was a lover of both people and animals! He had several Dachshunds. He was known for feeding the birds, cats, and other creatures in his back yard. Jimmie was known to many as the giver of See’s Candies! His smile and optimistic attitude poured out on everyone he met!
Jimmie will be greatly missed.
