Jim Lund

Jim, the son of Christian and Johanna Lund was born June 19, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away suddenly after a short illness on August 18, 2012 in Torrance, California. Jim was preceded in death by Margaret, his wife of 47 years. He is survived by his son, Stephen Lund, and his grandchildren Charlotte and Eli. Jim was the Planetarium Manager at El Camino College for 20 years and shared his love and enthusiasm for science and astronomy through numerous shows and presentations. Jim was also a toy train collector and avid fan of all things railroad related. His son recalls many fond memories of family vacations spent scouting out surviving steam railroads and the general romance of travel. Jim's love and humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The Memorial Service for Jim Lund will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23rd at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
