He passed away peacefully on April 2, 2012 at the age of 50. He was born in Arlington, Virginia on 1962. He was the beloved son of John and Margie Donald. He graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 1980. After completing a number of courses at Harbor Community College, he pursued quite a few career opportunities such as restaurant services, truck driving, diesel mechanic and EMT training. He was even on the staff at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in operations and volunteered on the tech crew.
Jeff enjoyed learning new things and had a phenomenal memory, which gave him the ability to carry on a conversation with anyone. He pursued his lifelong desire when he joined the crew of the mission ship Anastasis working in the engine room while traveling around the world. Jeff's sense of humor always kept everyone in a positive mood.
He is survived by his loving mother, Margie F. Donald; brother, John Jr. "Jay" (Joy) Donald; sister, Darlene (Mel) Mayberry; nephews, Justin (Jennifer) Donald, Jacob Donald; great nephew, Aidan Donald; uncle, Edward Harlow and aunts, Edna Mae Graf, Janet Hobbs, Jean (Edward) Watson and Gloria Trentin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffrey Donald Memorial Fund that will go to Hope Unlimited. This is an organization that our Pastor Andy's father-in-law started many years ago. They take orphan children off the streets of Brazil and house and educate and teach them the gospel them so they can be self-sufficient. I'm sure this would be Jeff's wishes. Send to Rolling Hills covenant Church, 2222 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Memo: Jeffrey Donald Memorial Fund.
