Jeanne Hopewell Green

Jeanne Hopewell Green passed away on April 10, 2025 at the age of 100. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky on August 25, 1924 and was a longtime resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, California. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Jeanne Green and Debra Kathryn Green (Larry). On June 16, 1946 Jeanne married the love of her life, Colonel Herschel Harper Green (USAF), a renowned Fighter Ace recently returned from WWII. Jeanne and Herschel were happily married until his death on August 16, 2006. Jeanne will be forever remembered as an avid bridge player. She continued to play bridge after moving to The Canterbury Retirement Community in 2021, and had played with friends just a few days before her death. Please join us in celebrating Jeanne’s life on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Green Hills Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The service will be preceded by Visitation in the Villetta Suite from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and followed by the graveside service at 3:15 p.m. Green Hills Memorial Park is located at 27501 South Western Avenue in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
