Jeanne Denise Cukrov

Our sweet Jeanne passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 after a 4 year battle with nasal cancer. She was born September 9, 1951 to Lou and Rose Marie Cukrov in San Pedro. She attended Leland Street Elementary, Dana Jr High, and San Pedro High School. After graduation she worked as a dental assistant in San Pedro. Jeanne married in 1971, moved to Long Beach and in 1974 gave birth to her only child, Christopher Laspesa. Divorced, Jeanne moved back to San Pedro and pursued a career in longshoring and in 2008 she became a Class A Longshoreman and proud member of ILWU Local 13. She is survived by her father, Lou Cukrov; son, Christopher; brother, Lou Cukrov, Jr (Patty) and many cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jeanne's life on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:00am at the chapel at Green Hills Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Jeanne's name.
