Jean Anne Hayduk died peacefull on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the age of 93 in Thousand Oaks, California. A longtime resident of Palos Verdes Estates, she was born on April 14, 1921 in Vail, Iowa to James and Mabel Hill and raised in Omaha, Nebraska with sisters Phyllis and Bette (both deceased). The family home lied adjacent to Creighton University, where she graduated in accounting and met her husband, Edward. Jean is survived by three of her sons: Ed of Simi Valley, Tom of Canoga Park, and John of Woodinville, Washington; Daughters-in-law Cheryl, Leonida, Christina, and Sandra; Grandchildren Tyler, Allison, Nicole, Jean, Evan, Lunada, and Izak, and Great- Granddaughter, Sawyer. Her husband, Edward, and son, Mark preceeded her passing. As a resident of Lunada Bay, she enjoyed her years with Edward and the boys. She loved being a Cub Scout den mother, Little League snack shack chairman, worked in the Registrar's Office at Palos Verdes High School, and volunteered in the school library and local hospital while being an inspiration to her four sons. Following Edward's death, she moved to Palmia, in Mission Viejo where she cherished her many friends, traveled, volunteered at another hospital, started an investment club and a community library, taught her friends line-dancing, and hosted an annual community casino night party. Services will be held at 11 am on 2/23/2015 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel followed by graveside services at Green Hills Memorial Park.
