Jauncie Whitfield

Jauncie (Carter) Whitfield was born in Bluefield, VA on April 8, 1937. She entered Heaven’s gates on June 25, 2019.

A consummate wife and mother, Jauncie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Over the years she worked in the family business of Printing and Real Estate.

Jauncie had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of The Gideon’s International Auxiliary Organization and Christ Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. A lover of all, Jauncie was known for her beautiful and generous smile and her amazing ability to make everyone feel special. Attending events and celebrating life achievements, holidays, birthdays, sports and other activities with her grandchildren made her so happy.

Jauncie leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Bert Whitfield II. Wonderful memories will be forever cherished by her loving children, Bert III and Nicole. Her grandchildren, Aquilla, Christian, Danielle, Alana and Maleah will carry the legacy of her kindness, beauty and grace.

Please join us for her viewing on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel. Funeral service celebrating Jauncie’s life will be held the following day, Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church with repast following burial.
