Janis Leatart Fleming

Janis Leatart Fleming was born in Los Angeles, California March 30, 1921. She was raised in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena City College. She has been a resident of the Palos Verdes Peninsula since 1958 and moved to Torrance in 2007.
She is survived by four beloved daughters, Mrs. Judith Allen, Mrs. Linda Prodromides,
Ms. Mary Ahearn and Mrs. Debra Moerke and their spouses. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Janis served the Palos Verdes Unified School District on the original staff of the Palos Verdes High School and later at Rolling Hills High School as secretary to the school administrators. Her professional activities include President of the Los Angeles County and California State Associations of Educational Office Personnel. She was the editor for the National Association of Educational Secretaries Newsletter.
Janis was a Member of the Rolling Hills Covenant Church since 1989. She served as secretary to the Elder council for several years. She was an active member of several different Bible study groups as well as serving in the Salvation Army Prison Ministry.
She is happy to be home with her Lord.
