Survived by his wife Martha and 3 sons. Three grandchildren, Anne, Thomas, Seann.
Owen (Papa) was a survivor of the depression and the Dust Bowl in Jester, Oklahoma.
His family moved to Gardena Valley in 1937 and thrived there, mostly in the growing aerospace industry.
He joined the Navy at 17 and was in Okinawa harbor when Hirohito signed the treaty ending WW2.
Despite many hardships in his youth, and more than his share of physical ailments, he was a mountain of strength to his family and business. He was the best Father and Grandfather anyone could hope for. He had an especially peaceful and forgiving soul, rarely, if ever, acting in anger. I hope you can see the peace in his heart, and I hope some of it will enter yours as well. Graveside services will be Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00pm in Green Hills Memorial Park.
