James Eugene Leaf

James Eugene Leaf, age 85, passed peacefully in the early hours of September 3rd with his family by his side.

James was born July 2nd, 1936 in Dayton, OH to Daniel & Mabel Leaf. He was one of seven siblings. His family ended up moving to California where he took up a permanent residence in the Torrance area in 1967 with his wife Marie Romeo & their two children, Liz & Jimmy. He lived with his long-time partner & friend Connie, and his step-daughter, Deanna. He spent 25 years as a painter and part of the union, a job he really loved and enjoyed along with hobbies such as grocery shopping and enjoying a nice breakfast from Norms.

He is survived by his brothers, John & Jack, daughter, Liz and step-daughter Deanna, grandchildren Jade, Amy, Danielle, Cassie, Jasmine & JJ, great grandchildren Desiree, Johnny, Skyler, Daniel, Maliyah, Olivia, & Christian and great great grandchildren Matthew, Ariana & Parkland.

Services for James will be held on September 22 at Green Hills Memorial Park with a viewing at 9:30 am followed by the interment at 11:30.
